I was asked whether a doctor who could take me on a journey in his Tardis where I would choose to go, but if they reflect seriously on I was perplexed. Since I but the times of history that I knew something about and dismissed them one by one.

· The Roman invasion of Britain with me around in a toga of funny Italians - censored.

· The Battle of Hastings - I would probably end up with a tapestry to sew.

· The Boston Tea Party --to drink the tea before they could chuck it in the sea

· The opening of the Crystal Palace, the Tardis is not maintained through the glass roof - Queen Vicky crash.

On · French Resistance in World War II - my Yorkshire accent would betray me at first allo allo.

None of them were tempting. The two things that interest me from about traveling too far back in time that women were second-class citizens until a few years ago, and I wouldnot voluntarily visit this time. Plus ponged people, they do not wash very often and I can not bear the smell of BO or I to others. I would really stand out from the crowd from where I took my toiletries, and will probably be burned at the stake as a witch, would Doctor Who, I ask myself, save me.

After much deliberation I decided on a time since I was born, the weekend after the 15th August 1969 and Woodstock. Frivolous, perhaps, but it is, and the Band Aid concert in 1984, both a big impressionon me. I still have the Band-Aid concert on video somewhere so that I see again and can walk there in the form of in-kind.

I had happened in my early youth, when Woodstock. I had a little transistor radio and used to the pirate stations when I hid in bed at night to hear. Hippies had come into the scene a few years earlier. I can laugh, remember my older brother when he had a flourishing ties, however, developed the life, and I wore beads and bells, not long after Woodstock.

I remember meWatch the TV news this weekend. Seeing 400,000 dirty, longhaired, disheveled, drugged up hippies dancing to the music or sitting apart in the mud. The newspapers were full of pictures and articles about this crazy full case that a sense of wonder, to put millions of others worldwide. The concert was about love and peace, but I can still remember well to Woodstock showed me a feeling of freedom that I did not know existed.

I can not say exactly why this weekendStory impressed me so much, I've never been interested to be apart, but I would love to go back in time and experience to see some of the 31 bands.
Day began with a set Richie Havens, which included the Beatles classic Hey Jew, and Strawberry Fields. It ended with Joan Baez is singing the freedom anthem We Shall Overcome. I wonder how often, sung from the protest.

The second day included sets from Santana, Canned Heat, Grateful Dead, CreadenceClear Water Revival, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, The Who and Jefferson Airplane. Can you imagine seeing and hearing all these great acts in one day - incredible!

While Jefferson Airplane ended the day before last, the Who, performed 24 songs. More by far than any other act at the Mad extravagance. Some of those I Can not Explain, Tommy Can You Hear Me, Pinball Wizard, I am free, See Me Feel Me, Summertime Blues, trembling all over, and of course my generation. Heckthat was my generation, I feel it now when I hear the music of my teenage years. I remember my shelves pinball scores with Pinball Wizard playing in the background.

Day three began singing with Joe Cocker Delta Lady ooooh I can hear his gravely voice in my head. Fourth was to Ten Years After, and after them the tape. Later, Blood, Sweat and Tears and then modified to be Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Graham Young before leaving the band.

The fourth and last daystarted with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Everything's Gonna Be Alright. Next, Sha Na Na, the number of "Jailhouse Rock, Wipe Out, Who wrote The Book of Love included, was Duke of Earl" and "At The Hop. Can you imagine, after three days of drugs and sex and roughing it awakened by rock and roll.

Last to play because he always refused, all other advance was the great Jimi Hendrix. I am not in the analysis of music or songs, but I know what I like and this man was a damnGuitarist. He finished the crazy party with his 16th Number of the day Hey Joe.

What I wonder is, why on Earth I've played so many goodies in Woodstock on vinyl and nothing that they play and take in the situation, little nostalgic trip back whenever I want. Time to start building up my CD collection, I think.

As a bonus for being good and not shocking Doctor Who of dance naked in the corn Then I would ask him to look me up to the present day, what has happened, some of those who attended Woodstock.
Now that would be interesting. Just yesterday I saw a man who will be the same hippie-participating parties as I do. He was good at everything that blew his mind and by the time he was 20 Graham was a wreck. Now the hair with the foot shorter and he wore a smart conservative business suit. What makes a difference 30 odd years!

At the end of my trip, I collected some facts that I found out about Woodstock on the Internet list.

It costs $ 6.50for early ticket for one day. In 1989 was sold for $ 8000

500,000 hot dogs and hamburgers were eaten on the first day.
Santana $ 1,500 were paid, the Grateful Dead got $ 7,500 and $ 11,200 Who.

It costs $ 1 for a hot dog and $ 1 for a loaf of bread and a liter of milk.
Three tracheotomy performed.

A hit of acid or mescaline costs $ 4 and one ounce of marijuana costs $ 15.
Only 33 people were arrested on drug charges another 500 on bad flippedLSD trip.

450 cows in the camper freely mixed for 3 days.

Only 600 Portaloos available.

Back in my day I remember that the Woodstock movie was released in 1979, perhaps it would be a good idea to see if I can keep a copy and see if my journey looks far out man.
